Social Responsibility

We believe in partnering with our community and our clients to make things better.  The community service project that we offer to visiting soccer teams is often the highlight of their tour.  Check out the other projects with which we are involved in Costa Rica.

Costa Rica Soccer Tours Coordinates Community Service Projects and Donations to High-Risk children

CR Sports Tours has partnered with the Roble Alto Children's Care centers to help children in need. This center cares for and educates over 200 low-income children between the ages of 1-12 years old. Dozens of our soccer teams have visited the center to play soccer with the children and/or to bring needed donations.

Costa Rica Soccer Tours Founded the Women’s College Soccer Stipend for Costa Rican Players

We are allied with the organizing body of the women’s soccer in Costa Rica to support the development of girls’ soccer in the country. We founded and fund the Bono Educativo Estudiantil (Women’s College Soccer Stipend). Each of the top five First Division women’s soccer teams select one to four players from their team to receive the college tuition stipend. Costa Rica Soccer Tours also donates soccer balls to all five teams.

Costa Rica Soccer Tours Offers Opportunity to Donate Old Team Uniforms

Do you have old uniforms that you’d like to donate? Since we work directly with local high school and club teams year round, we know of many teams that could really use donated uniforms and soccer equipment. We can help distribute them to the teams with the greatest need.

How it Works:

Step1: Gather your team’s old uniforms. (If you are coming down on a soccer tour with us, have each player pack a uniform into his/her suitcase and we will collect them upon arrival)

Step2: Contact our Donations Coordinator to let us know when and how many uniforms you plan to send. He/she will give you the address to which to mail them.

Step3: We will receive the uniforms, handle the paperwork with the Customs department in Costa Rica, and distribute the uniforms to local Costa Rican teams who need them.

Costa Rica Soccer Tours Supports the Alajuela Youth Boys’ Soccer Program

We have partnered with Alajuela’s youth program to provide their youth leagues with soccer balls for training and games. Alajuela’s program aspires to develop soccer players starting as young as 6 years old.

Costa Rica Soccer Tours Supports Elderly Assisted Care Day Center in Pavas

We donated funds to expand the activities that the center can offer to its clients.  Our company also organized and hosted an end-of-the-year dance and party for the approximately 80 elderly who visit the center on a daily basis.
